As a lady, you must have heard one or two persons preach:
‘painful menstruation is normal’. Please, run from such people. Painful
menstruation is not normal.
It may be caused by
- excessive
sugar consumption,
- cyst
infection,
- fibroid,
- irritation
along the uterus,
- endometriosis,
- pelvic
inflammatory disease (PID),
- fibromyalgia,
- polycystic
kidney disease,
- hypoparathyroidism.
It will shock you that anxiety, stress, and
depression also can cause you painful menstruation.
If you have been having painful menstruation,
please, see your doctor. Painful menstruation isn’t normal!
2.) “MY V@GINA IS
DRY/COARSE,” COURTESY OF TAMPON!
I bet you never knew that menstrual
pads/tampons (long and tube-like) contain materials that could: attract bacteria
which cause infection as well as dryness of the v@gina; cause abrasion; and
cause toxic shock syndrome (TSS).
Wearing a tampon or diaphragm for too long
causes the above mentioned, because they can become breeding grounds for
bacteria. Also, removing a dry tampon can cause tear of the v@gina wall.
Calm down lady, you’re not. Maybe.
This is a kind of myth that has scared girls
(especially under 21). Like I said earlier, cool down. Delayed menstruation can
be caused by a lot of factors.
If you know you have always received your
monthly visitor every 28 days but at a point, you didn’t see it as expected; it
may be caused by any of these below.
- Poorly controlled diabetes,
- Celiac disease,
- Stress,
- Obesity,
- Low body weight,
- Birth control,
- Polycystic ovary symptom
(PCOS),
- Early menopause,
- Thyroid issue, etc.
In summary, painful menstruation isn’t normal
– check it! Tampons /pads can serve as a two-bedroom-flat for bacteria, don’t
leave it too long! Also, late menstruation doesn’t always imply pregnancy.
